A letter to my younger self.
You are a shining star. You are a gorgeous, articulate, smart, funny little baggage of fun. Your friends love you and pretty soon you’re going to meet the man of your dreams.
Stop being hard on yourself. Start believing in yourself.
Life takes strange courses sometimes and you’ve got some challenges up ahead. Life isn’t going to be exactly as you’ve planned. Do me a favour – spend lots of time with Mum. Have those awkward talks, gather as many stories as you can and store away all those precious memories. Mums aren’t around forever and those memories are going to carry you through.
Know that you are stronger than you think, but don’t be afraid to be vulnerable.
Spend time on the beach in your bikini. You’ve got a great figure and I know that you don’t appreciate that at the moment, but let me tell you – one day you’ll have children and those bikini days will seem far behind you. Eat better. Drink less. Exercise more. It’ll be worth it in the long run. Moisturize. You’ll thank me when you’re older.
Live life, take the opportunities that come your way and don’t be afraid about the future – everything will work out.
You’re a shining star. Love yourself.
